CLARK BAND! WE ARE ONE!

The Clark High School Band, part of the Plano Independent School District in Texas, offers a dynamic and comprehensive music education program for 9th and 10th grade students. This vibrant program includes a variety of ensembles such as marching band, four concert bands, a jazz band, and both large and small chamber ensembles, alongside colorguard. Students from Carpenter, Schimelpfenig, and Hendrick middle schools typically feed into the Clark Band.

The Clark Marching Band is a major component of the program, involving all band students during the fall semester. This ensemble features brass, woodwinds, percussion, and Colorguard & Winterguard, performing at Plano football games and various competitions. The concert bands—comprising the Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, and Concert Band—focus on a repertoire that spans diverse genres and periods, emphasizing both group and solo performances.

Additionally, the Clark Jazz Band provides an opportunity for students to delve into jazz, performing in several events throughout the year, including the Plano Jazz Festival. The program's success is supported by a strong Booster Club, committed faculty, and community involvement, ensuring a rich, educational, and rewarding experience for all its members.

THE CLARK BAND EXPERIENCE

The band experience is like no other! From that first day of HYPE camp to the final UIL Contest performance, your students will grow, learn, and mature in amazing ways. As musicians, they will undoubtedly become more proficient with their instruments, but it's the intangible growth that will truly amaze you. Increased confidence, a larger friend network, and stronger resilience (and yes, even better grades) are all gained from the process of learning and performing intricate shows in front of large crowds at a very high level. That's what Clark Band is all about; helping our young student musicians achieve their best.
